Officers of the Church
Church Council
The Church Council consists of eight men elected to three- year terms of office. The council meets monthly and oversees the regular business of the congregation and administers the finances of the congregation.

- The president shall preside as a chairman of all business sessions of the congregation and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to him.
- He shall have general supervision of the affairs of the congregation subject to the regulations of the church council, sign all deeds, mortgages, notes, leases, and/or all legal documents directed to be executed by the congregation and conduct all its business affairs according to established rules.
- In the absence of the president the financial secretary shall act as temporary chairman.
- The president is an advisory, non-voting member of all boards and committees. He shall be knoledgeable of the Constitution and see to it that voting members (and new members) received and sign the Constitiution.
- The term of office shall not exceed two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms.
- The recording secretary shall record accurately the proceedings of all meetings of the congregation and the church council.
- He shall be responsible for the legal records of the congregation.
- He shall have the authority to countersign all deeds, mortgages, notes, leases and/or legal documents executed by the congregation and assist in the orderly conduct of its business affairs according to established good order.
- He shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the congregation.
- He shall make semi-annual reports to the voters and also special reports as requested by the council.
- The term of office shall not exceed two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms.
- The Financial secretary shall receive and deposit all general fund contributions for the congregation, shall keep an accurate account of the same and deliver a report of them to the treasurer indicating the proper account to be credited.
- He shall make a report for the regular meetings of the congregation and submit shis books for audit annually or at any time the congregation desires.
- He shall be bonded.
- The term of office shall not exceed two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms.
- He shall act as temporary president in the absence of the Congregational President.
- The Church Treasurer shall receive from the financial secretary a report of all moneys and credit the same to the proper accounts.
- He shal make disbursements according to instructions from the Church Council.
- He shall make a monthly reoprt to the Church Council and also special reports whenever the council shall so request.
- He shall submit his records to the congregation annually for audit or at any time the congregation so desires.
- In the absence of the recording secretary he shall have the athority to countersign documents on the behalf of the congregation.
- In the event the treasurer is unable to carry out his duties, the president or recording secretary has the authority to carry out his duties.
- The term of office shall not exceed two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms.
Board for Building & Grounds
The board of Building and Grounds shall consist of four (4) elected voting members. One position shall be designated as the Board Chairman and elected as such by the voters. The chairman shall designate one member as board secretary. No member shall serve a term of more than four (4) years, one member going off each year; they shall meet as needed.
The board of Building and Grounds:
- Shall be responsible for visibly inspecting the church, teacherage, parsonage and school twice a year.
- Shall be responsible for notifying the church council of any repairs needed prior to a voters meeting at a regularily held council meeting.
- Shall be responsible for formulating a work committee to get repairs done.
- Shall oversee any building project.
Board of Education
The Board of Education shall consist of three (3) voting members elected by voters at duly called voters meetings. One position shall be designated as the Board Chairman and elected as such by the voters. The chairman shall designate one member as board secretary. The pastor, principal, and faculty shall be advisory, non-voting members. Among them they shall choose who shall be liaison for MLHS, Christian Day School, and Sunday School, Youth Group, Pioneers, and the like. Each shall have a term of three years, so arranged that not more than one office shall expire in a given year.
The Board of Education:
- Shall oversee all educational agencies of the congregation.
- Formulate all the policies of these agencies.
- Assiste the pastor in selecting a superintendent and teachers fo the Sunday School
- Encourage continued educacation at Synod schools.
Board of Evangelism (Outreach)
The Board of Evangelism shall consist of three (3) voting members elected by the voting membership at a duly called voter's meeting. One person shall be designated Board Chairman and elected as such by the voters. The chairman shall designate a member to be board secretary. Each shall have a term of three (3) years, so arranged that not more than one office shall expire in a given year.
- The board shall establish and mantain an active program for the congregation to reach out to the neighborhood and community with the gospel.
- Shall also promote the work that the congregation does together with its fellow congregations as a synod.
- Shall prepare annual budge recommendations for those items of the congregation's business for which it is responsible.
Board of Spiritual Affairs
Board of Spiritual Affairs shall consist of one (1) elected voting member for three (3) years plus a minimum of two (2) people appointed to alternating three (3) year terms whome he shall choose from the voters' assembly. The elected member shall be the Board Chairman. The chairman shall designate a member to be board secretary. They shall meet once a month.
- The Board of Spiritual Affairs shall assist and aid the pastor in administering the spiritual affairs of the church; admonishing erring members according to Matthew 18:15-18
- Shall pay regard to good order in teh church services
- Shall also help care in love for the poor, the sick, the widows and the orphans
- Shall lead the congregation in evangelism and stewardship endeavors.
